Covid Eviction Assistance Information

We are practicing the safety precautions directed by the State, therefore onsite outreach has been delayed. However, we are continuing to conduct virtual outreach. We want to keep our community partners, members and providers informed of the benefits available under the Blue Cross Community Centennial plan.

The 2020 Value-Added Service – change or new

  • Traditional Medicine Benefit (slight change) - Last year, we had a budget cap for the Traditional Medicine Benefit funds for those on COE 100, which means, some people who applied for the benefit later in the year were told there are no funds left. This year, there is no budget cap, so any Native American on COE 100 could apply for the Traditional Medicine Benefit anytime during the year without being told there are no funds left.  Members will still need to call the toll free # to apply for the grant and complete the Health Risk Assessment. Grant amount is still $250.

  • Respite Bed (new) - This VAS provides a temporary bed for members discharging from an emergency room or hospital who are medically vulnerable and chronically homeless for a period of up to 30 days. The number of beds is limited and will be filled based on medical necessity and availability.

  • Supplemental Assisted Living Payments (new) - This VAS provides a supplemental increase to the daily Assisted Living Facility (ALF) rates to pay for room and board for members transitioning from a Nursing Facility into a community setting. This is a short-term increase for not longer than 120 days to help aid in the transition.
